To pass the Lifeguard Award you need to:

Be at least 14 years old at the date of the exam (31st Oct or Late Nov).

Complete the training course and sit an exam (which includes a timed pool swim, demonstrating a rescue, a theory exam, and a surf session).

Club Patrol:

Worser Bay provides patrols to Scorching Bay over the Summer period December to March on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 1:30 - 5:30 pm.

We also have a reliable and experienced Event Guard Crew who contracts to local water-based event providers and supply lifeguards to SLSNZ for Regional Lifeguard Services.

Become a Lifeguard
We're looking for people who would be keen to take part in our weekend patrols at Scorching Bay, Club days, and Carnivals.
There is also the opportunity to earn money as an Event Lifeguard or a Regional Guard over the summer months. We provide the training and a uniform - register your interest below.
